Who can give an opinion on the Orgone Energy Accumulator?
EVERYONE!
Or rather, to be clear and precise, EVERYONE can give their opinion as long as they know what they are talking about, and as long as they have had the opportunity to come into contact with the ORAC (Orgone Accumulator), to know it, use it, and study it.
AUTHORITATIVE OR “ALMOST-AUTHORITATIVE” OPINIONS..
It often happens that many orgonomic discoveries, laboriously developed and carefully presented, clash with simple “off-the-cuff” opinions that have no basis in observation or scientific experimentation.
If such opinions are expressed by a chemist or a physicist, the user — who is a layperson (in the sense that, not knowing the subject, they are precisely seeking opinions and information) — accepts them as “authoritative judgments”, without verifying the actual knowledge of the source, nor determining whether they are based on observation.
Thus, a distorted and biased public opinion develops.
Since authority is too often used in the interest of obscure economic and political affairs, we have a duty to invite anyone wishing to express an opinion on medical or other applications of orgone energy to demonstrate that they have first followed the principles established for ORGONOTIC FUNCTIONS.
GUIDELINES FOR FORMING AN OPINION ON ORGONE ENERGY
It goes without saying that these are principles that can be applied — indeed must be applied — in order to form a clear and truly scientific opinion in any field or domain where clarity is needed.
Specifically, we are referring to what must be done before attempting to form a concrete and reliable understanding of orgone energy functions:
- Remove any inclination to form opinions without first studying orgone energy.
- Use the orgone accumulator regularly and become familiar with its NON-MECHANICAL functioning characteristics, such as changes in session duration, the bioenergetic charge of the user, atmospheric conditions, etc.
- Let genuinely ill people try the OR accumulator and observe what the device can do for different types of illnesses, wounds, and burns.
- Measure and record over a long period the difference in orgonotic temperature and the slower discharge of the electroscope inside the accumulator.
- Finally — and above all — understand that this examination of orgonomic discoveries must start from the premises of orgone theory and not from any other point of view.
An airplane must be evaluated according to its ability to fly, not its ability to run on the road.
Orgone energy cannot be judged from the standpoint of magnetism or chemistry.
An authority in a field is someone who knows what they are talking about, not someone who knows nothing about what they claim to know — and this applies to every field and domain.
A physicist is not an authority on the ORAC unless they have diligently studied the accumulator, used it regularly, experienced its subjective reactions, and measured its objective functions.
Therefore, there are no authorities in the field of orgonomy except those who have thoroughly studied the functions of orgone energy.
Any opinion regarding the functionality of the ORAC must be evaluated considering whether the person expressing it meets the requirements listed above.
Being fully aware of the great responsibilities implicit in our task is a fundamental part of the work to be done.
