The orgone accumulator is a device capable of collecting, concentrating, and making available—at higher concentrations—the primordial cosmic energy (orgone) discovered by Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s and 1940s.
Orgone energy regulates and structures life, organic and inorganic matter. The hypothesis of the existence of a life energy is not new; throughout human history many philosophers and scholars have proposed it. Reich, however, demonstrated its existence. The discovery of orgone is revolutionary and, as such, it does not always align with the laws, principles, and theorems of dominant mechanistic scientific culture. Its mode of functioning and the principle of functionality that permeates it make it the primary energy from which all others derive. Life itself is alive thanks to it.
From this it is understood that energy is not only outside us but also within us, and its movement within organisms determines emotions.
The orgone accumulator was born almost by chance in the 1940s when Reich noticed that cultures of bions in his laboratory excited and made certain objects “electrical.” He soon realized that by combining these materials it was possible to obtain a device capable of accumulating this energy.
He therefore built the orgone accumulator by alternating layers of organic and metallic material in its walls, and for the first time created an instrument capable of producing a higher energy gradient inside a confined space than that present outside it.
For orgonomy, this was a crucial turning point.
For the first time, orgone could be studied and used in stronger concentrations than those naturally found in the environment. Reich applied this in many fields, including medicine.
The benefits in biology and physics soon followed, with the use of the accumulator in cancer research and in the Oranur experiment in physics. Orgone energy flows freely and penetrates everything, but when it is obstructed its temperature increases. This can easily be observed inside the accumulator using two standard thermometers measuring simultaneously the temperature inside and outside.
The medical use of the orgone accumulator involves regular daily sessions. The organism as a whole becomes charged, which in healthy individuals can be confirmed by a rise in body temperature during use. The patient’s body is not passively filled with energy; Reich speaks instead of excitation of fields. In orgonomy, the stronger energy field attracts the weaker one; therefore caution is required when using overly powerful accumulators.
Other signs that the organism is in a good state of charge include, in addition to a soft warmth, tingling sensations, relaxation, and facial flushing. The body absorbs the energy needed to recharge itself energetically, restoring the natural balance of the organism.
It was used by Dr. Reich to treat many conditions, including migraines, colds, rheumatic pain, arthritis, cancer biopathies, anemia, fatigue, and ulcers. The benefits of the orgone accumulator are so numerous that Reich envisioned it as a common household device, particularly as a means of prevention. “Predisposition” to illness is often the expression of a low bioenergetic level of the organism, which, when highly charged, does not easily develop pathologies. A simple example is the strong resistance of a charged organism to winter cold diseases.
ORAC has been producing orgone accumulators since 2013 following Dr. Reich’s guidelines. More information can be found at www.accumulatoreorgonico.it or by contacting 3299753925.
* At the Orgonon Observatory (Maine, USA), the unit of measurement was defined as a 1°C difference (T₀ – T) over 256 seconds; this unit is called the T-Org (Reich, The Orgone Accumulator: Its Scientific and Medical Use, Orgone Institute Press Publishing House of the W. Reich Foundation).
